CONGRESSMAN DANNY K. DAVIS HIGHLIGHTS KEY ISSUES ON MILWAUKEE RADIO SHOW AS SURROGATE FOR VP KAMALA HARRIS AND GOVERNOR TIM WALZ

Chicago, IL – Congressman Danny K. Davis (IL-07) appeared today on Milwaukee's WNOV 860 AM, serving as a surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz. During his live interview on the "Community Voice" radio show hosted by Keith Parris, Congressman Davis emphasized the importance of the upcoming election. He highlighted the stark differences between the Harris-Walz campaign and Donald Trump's Project 2025 agenda.

Davis focused on Vice President Harris' vision for a "New Way Forward," which centers on expanding opportunities for all Americans, particularly the middle class and working families. He also addressed the risks of unchecked power that Donald Trump's Project 2025 would bring, calling out Trump's dangerous policies that prioritize billionaires and corporations over working people.

"Vice President Harris is fighting for an America where everyone has a chance to succeed, not just get by," said Congressman Davis. "She understands the struggles of working families and has a plan to cut costs, reduce taxes for the middle class, and take on corporate greed. In contrast, Donald Trump's Project 2025 would dismantle our democratic guardrails, raise taxes on middle-class families, and further enrich the wealthiest Americans."

Davis also spoke about the Harris-Walz campaign's robust efforts to engage Black voters, particularly in Wisconsin. He noted that the Democratic campaign infrastructure in the state has never been stronger, with over 50 offices in key areas and more than 250 full-time staffers on the ground working to reach voters in both red and blue counties.

"We're making sure that every voter in Wisconsin, especially Black voters, understands what's at stake in this election," Davis said. "Vice President Harris is committed to addressing the systemic challenges facing Black Americans, including expanding access to capital, lowering health care costs, and increasing homeownership. She is dedicated to building an economy that works for everyone."

Listeners can catch Congressman Davis' full interview on WNOV 860 AM, where he further delved into the critical issues facing the nation and the importance of voter engagement ahead of the 2024 election.
